Position Overview:

Looking for an experienced Director of Construction to lead our construction team, ensuring the successful completion of apartment renovation, commercial tenant buildout and new construction projects both commercial and multifamily. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, has a strong background in construction management, and is driven to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management from conception to completion.
  2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
  3. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within allocated funds.
  4. Lead, mentor, and develop the construction team to achieve operational excellence.
  5. Review and approve project designs and blueprints.
  6. Ensure all construction activities comply with legal regulations, standards, and best practices.
  7. Foster and maintain client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  8. Implement risk management strategies to minimize potential project issues.
  9. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  10. Regularly provide project status updates to company leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 15 yrs experience in construction management, with a focus on multifamily and commercial and both renovations and new construction.
  3. Proven experience in leading both renovations and large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  5. Proficient in construction management software such as Procore
  6. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Compensation: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
