Job Summary:
ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE SALES EXPERIENCE IN SELLING TO BUSINESSES THAT HAVE STORAGE TANKS OR FACILITIES FOR COATINGS/LINERS. Apex is expanding the Coating/Linings Division and is seeking an experienced Sales Executive with a strong background in the oil and gas industry, specializing in storage tank coatings and linings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and a deep understanding of coatings and liners used in the storage tank sector. This role requires an individual with established client relationships and the ability to expand market share by leveraging these connections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the oil and gas storage tank coatings/liners industry.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by providing superior sales service and support.
  • Leverage existing client relationships to introduce Apex services, facilitating entry into new markets.
  • Understand the specific needs and requirements of clients to align our products and services effectively.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, market trends, and regulatory changes in the oil and gas industry that may affect product demand and client needs.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure client specifications are met with appropriate coating and lining solutions.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and reports on sales activities, pipeline, and performance.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote Apex offerings.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to identify new opportunities and generate leads.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on storage tanks and protective coatings/liners.
  • Existing relationships with key players in the oil and gas sector, particularly within the storage tank domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of coatings and liners used in oil and gas storage tanks, including product features, application processes, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and support business development activities.
